New dampers are all the rage this year, and DVO have joined the club with their Topaz air and Jade X coil shocks getting the new Prime damper.
With the new Prime damper, DVO’s line of shocks are the most adjustable and highest performing to date.

DVO’s new prime damper sees both the Topaz air and Jade X coil shocks improve performance and reliability with ‘set-and-forget’ being the chief mantra by which the updates were developed. Both shocks come with 6 clicks of tool-free Low Speed Compression adjust with a range of damping that is tuned to offer stability and traction. The High Speed Compression circuit has 10 clicks, and is aimed at controlling G-outs, landings and square edges.
The new air bladder made from a new material, a new end cap seal and valve core. A lower overall system pressure aims to offer a wider range of adjustment, offer increased durability whilst lowering system pressure losses. There’s an updated, oversized seal head and inner shaft too.
Both shocks get updated bushings that better deal with side loads, increasing durability further and making the stroke of the shock smoother at the same time. Both shocks also benefit from increased oil flow. Due to the increased oil flow, the Prime damper is not compatible with older shocks.

The Jade X also gets a new preload adjuster and new spring clips that are easier to rotate as well as a new rebound knob profile, with improved detent clicks.
