A collaborative Instagram post between UCI Mountain Bike and the GOAT, Greg Minnaar suggests the big South African may well hang up his boots this year.
The 2024 UCI Downhill World Championships in Andorra will be Greg Minnaar’s 28th and very maybe his last, with his first being in Chateau d’Oex all the way back in 1997.
Minnaar has taken four Elite UCI Downhill World Championship titles. His first came with in Livigno in 2003, the next would come nine years later in Leogang with a successful title defence on home soil the following year, backed up by a win in Val di Sole in 2021.
To say Greg is part of the World Cup furniture would be an understatement.
