New for 2025:
Until now, the Club Weeks have, each given year, followed the Stone King® Rally race route from earlier that Summer. For 2025, we have put together an all-time classic Stone King route, blending the best of the best trails from the 2022, 2023 and 2024 race events. It’s going to be mind blowing.
Route Details:
- Start: Arvieux [Hautes-Alpes, France]
- Finish: Bordighera [Liguria, Italy]
- Duration: 6 days
- On-bike distance: 270km [~30% in France / 70% in Italy]
- On-bike vertical ascent: 7000m (average 1150m per day; hardest day 1700m; easiest day 500m)
- On-bike vertical descent: 22000m
- An ultimate blend of the most popular trails from the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Stone King® Rally race event
What’s included:
- Riding: the full 6-day Stone King route in its new all-time classic guise. As per the race, the Club Week tour is self-guided with full navigational support
- Logistics: like clockwork. Your bags moved from hotel to hotel. You and your bike elevated to high points by shuttle approximately 20 times over the course of the week so that, whilst pedalling is required, you can focus on the descents. Airport transfers from and to NCE are also included.
- Accommodation: carefully selected. We use the best hotels in each stopover village, offering a warm welcome and a good night’s rest. There are seven hotel nights included in the tour.
- Meals: you won’t go hungry. You are provided with three wholesome meals per day, plus our home-made snacks for the trails. Our mid-ride lunches are a treat but dinner is an undeniable highlight; you will get to sample delicious local cuisine in each valley that we pass through.
- Package price: €2095 (includes all taxes)
Why Book With Us?
From the outside looking in, Stone King started life as a race event but the overarching mission was to create the ultimate point-to-point MTB route across the Southwestern Alps, period. So, somewhat regardless of the race, simply riding endless awesome trails has always been (and will always be!) the focus of the route. Now that we no longer organise a race, our energy is concentrated on providing the ultimate tour on these trails. Some further detail on what this entails:
- Knowledge: we are the originators of Stone King and our staff have years of experience at running this tour. Not only do we have unmatched geographical knowledge of our route and the roads which access it, but we also know many alternative trails in each valley. This gives us the ability to replan on our feet and make adjustments to a day’s itinerary should circumstances demand it (e.g. making the most of a rainy afternoon by using a lower, more sheltered route).
- Format: three years of running the Club Week tour has proven our app-supported self-guided format to be an absolute winner amongst riders. Ride at your own pace and/or with your friends, in flexible ride groups of your own choosing. Immerse yourself in the autonomous nature of adventure but with back-up never far away.
- Support: we pride ourselves on providing you with the best on-tour support imaginable. Navigational issues, bike repairs, emergency caffeine… a staff member is always available to help.
- No skimping: this is a no-expenses-spared tour because keeping you comfortable and well-fed is an utmost priority to us. Admittedly the tour is not inexpensive, but past riders tell us it is worth every penny and more.
