The Dunoon Project gains a key partner in the form of Nevis Range to help realise the dream of revitalising the down of Dunoon with an ambitious gondola-equipped adventure resort.
Plans to give a big old upward shove to Dunoon are now in motion as The Dunoon Project and Nevis Range announce a partnership. A similar facility to Nevis Range’s summer offering is the main talking point, and with a gondola planned to the local summit, it could offer similar altitude drop as Nevis Range’s World Cup downhill track.
Hopefully the Scottish Government can sort out the mess that is the A83 over The Rest and Be Thankful which will be the main access route for anyone coming from the north and east, while anyone accessing from the south will likely make use of the Gourock ferry.
There’s currently no advertised timeline for this project, but we will keep you updated going forward.
Nevis Range, Scotland’s leading adventure tourism and destination management company, has partnered with The Dunoon Project to create a world-class outdoor adventure resort in Dunoon, set to become one of Scotland’s premier tourism attractions. (The Dunoon Project was launched as an innovative idea by the local community with a focus on turning the struggling town’s fortunes around.)
At the heart of this multi-million-pound development will be a state-of-the-art mountain gondola, the first of its kind in the region, providing unparalleled access to Scotland’s spectacular landscapes and unlocking Dunoon’s full potential as a global adventure tourism hub.
This landmark project will feature a full-service base station with a hotel, bike shop, bike hire, retail outlets, and multiple restaurants, along with a top-station café with panoramic views, delivering a truly iconic visitor experience.
