Aston Hill Bike Park Get a Leg Up From Saracen, Shimano and Madison.

Having closed in 2020 due to Ash dieback, Aston Hill will return in Spring 2026 with a helping hand from the folks at Saracen, Shimano and Madison.

Saracen, Shimano and Madison have partnered with Aston Hill Bike Park to get this southern riding destination back on its feet and thriving.

Saracen, Shimano and Madison are proud to announce a new partnership with Aston Hill Bike Park, joining forces to restore what was once the South’s premier downhill bike park.

Saracen is partnering with the newly established Bike Park Chilterns CiC to help restore Aston Hill to its former glory – and take it even further. Shimano is also backing the project with a major contribution from its Trail Born fund, a 10-year commitment to supporting trails and trail builders around the world.

As part of this exciting revival, Saracen will become the exclusive bike partner to the park when it plans to reopen in March 2026 with a fleet of hire bikes for riders to demo. Saracen support will also bring extensive infrastructure upgrades including a dedicated container, welcome cabin and branded elements throughout the site. Additional backing will come from leading brands Shimano, Madison Clothing, and Lazer, delivered through the Madison and Sportline business.

Ian Warby, Director, Bike Park Chilterns CIC saidAston Hill has always had a strong connection with Saracen and Madison and formalising that relationship as we rebuild the bike park feels like a natural next step. Madison is based only a short distance from the hill, and their support over the years has played a key role in the growth of the local riding community. We’re excited to be working together again and to showcase what this part of the Chilterns can offer riders.

John Holbrook, Director, Bike Park Chilterns CIC adds “This partnership is a huge moment for the rebuild of Aston Hill. Having Saracen and Madison’s industry leading backing for the project reinforces how important this park is to riders both regionally and nationally. Madison’s proximity to the hill and our long-standing working relationship gives us a strong position to grow from. As we enter the build phase, their support will help us push forward with confidence and set a new standard for what Aston Hill can become.”

Aston Hill is steeped in mountain biking heritage, serving as a go-to destination for riders for over 25 years. The venue hosted countless races and events before closing in 2020 due to extensive ash dieback. Today, Bike Park Chilterns is leading the redevelopment and long-term stewardship of Aston Hill, ensuring its legacy continues for future generations.

Madison CEO Dominic Langan adds,Aston Hill has for many years held a special place in the UK mountain biking scene, and we are delighted to support its reopening with Saracen, Shimano, Madison Clothing and Lazer. This partnership is about more than just putting our names on the trails – it’s about investing in the riding community, inspiring the next generation and ensuring riders of all levels have access to great trails, the right kit and the safest equipment. Madison Clothing will also play a key role in bringing riders durable, technical apparel designed for UK conditions, helping them enjoy the park whatever the weather.

”On a personal level, Aston Hill will always be hugely significant to me as it was here where I took the call which completed the deal to buy Saracen Bikes. To now be returning as a sponsor feels like we have come full circle, and I can’t wait to see the park buzzing with riders again.”

The park is planned to reopen in March 2026 with two trails, that will redefine the Aston Hill experience. Over the next five to ten years, the goal is to build at least seven new trails and work at the site has already begun. This marks an exciting step in restoring Aston Hill as a must-visit destination for mountain biking enthusiasts.
