British XCO and XCM Champion Isla Short keeps it local by adding Cullen Kilshaw to her list of sponsors for the 2026 UCI World Cup season.

Cullen Kilshaw announces sponsorship of cross-country mountain biker Isla Short for the 2026 racing season.
Cullen Kilshaw has confirmed its sponsorship of Isla Short, a 29-year-old cross country mountain biker from Peebles, for the 2026 season. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to local community, long term planning and supporting individuals who are building their professional future with determination and focus.
Isla has been racing competitively for over ten years and enters the 2026 season as an independent rider. Racing as a privateer means securing personal sponsorship to cover the full range of costs associated with professional competition, from travel and equipment to training and race entry. In 2025, Isla achieved her first top ten finish and also claimed the National Championship title. She returns to competition this year as the defending national champion and is now setting her sights firmly on a podium finish at international level.
The season begins on Sunday 8 February with a race in La Nucía, Spain, marking the first competitive outing of the year. A key highlight of the calendar will be the Scottish National Championships in July, taking place closer to home at the Forest of Ae in Dumfries and Galloway, a significant moment for Scottish mountain biking and an important milestone in Isla’s season.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Isla said: “Working with a sponsor like Cullen Kilshaw is very important because my local community means a lot to me. To work with a firm that is rooted in the area is very special and it brings a unique contribution to my privateer programme. That local support gives me confidence as I plan for the season ahead and focus on achieving my goals, including defending my national title”.
Ross Kilshaw added: “We value strong relationships and we are proud to support people who show commitment, discipline and ambition in what they do. Isla’s success to date, including becoming National Champion, reflects the same principles we apply in our work, careful planning, resilience and a clear focus on outcomes. Supporting Isla allows us to invest in local talent, represent our community on a wider stage and build partnerships that are grounded in trust and hard work”.
Cullen Kilshaw provides trusted legal and property expertise across the Scottish Borders, supporting individuals, families and businesses to plan with confidence. The sponsorship forms part of the firm’s wider Cullen Kilshaw in the Community initiative, which supports local causes and community organisations across the South of Scotland and East Lothian.
