Hope Release Their 20mm Gravity Stem.

Aimed at providing riders a stem closer to the axis of their fork steerer, Hope’s 20mm Gravity Stem is an interesting-looking bit of kit.

Hope’s 20mm Gravity Stem has been developed in conjunction with their top downhill and enduro World Cup riders for the best balance of control and position on the bike.

Key features:

  • 20mm long
  • 35mm stack
  • Increased 5mm clamping width
  • Integrated headset cap (headset bolt included)
  • Available in Black, Silver, Smoke, Blue, Red, Purple & Orange
  • CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aluminium
  • Designed for oversized 31.8mm and 35mm bars
  • RRP £115.00
  • HopeTech.com

Hope’s stem range grows from four to five, with the addition of the rather funky-looking 20mm Gravity Stem. The new stem brings the grips closer to the steering axis, whilst providing a more upright riding position for better weight distribution on both wheels.

The stem swaps length for stack, 20mm on the former and 35mm on the latter. Hope have increased the clamp width by 5mm for increased stiffness and with the stem being arranged as it is, the headset cap is integrated into the stem, with the bolt included. Both 31.8 and 35mm clamps are available.

As with all things Hope, the 20mm Gravity Stem is CNC’d in Barnoldswick. This stem coming from a single billet of 2014 T6 alloy. They’re available now for £115.00 at all Hope dealers.
