Almost every inch of the Giro Montaro Pro is bristling with high tech kit, building on the success of the Montaro III MIPS launched in July 2025. The foundation of the new Montaro was to make the helmet smaller, whilst providing more coverage. The Montaro Pro builds on this.
Outgoes the MIPS Evolve Core, and in comes the Spherical Technology, also by MIPS. An AURA Ring II polycarbonate roll cage and Progressive Layering Nanobead EPS foam houses the MIPS tech in this instance. The helmet lower also had a hardbody covering for extra durability.
Part of that roll cage is a whopping 23 vents to keep your head from becoming a sweaty mess by way of both the vents and the inner channeling. A DryCore™ sweat management system browpad and Ionic+™ anti-microbial padding make sure that when the skin does start to leak, it doesn’t get in the way.
Roc Loc® Trail Air fit system handles the fit around your loaf, whilst the Fidlock® magnetic buckle helps ensure it doesn’t go anywhere in a crash. A 2-position visor and eyewear storage round of this impressive, feature-heavy lid.
