First Looks: 2012 Fenwick’s bike range

Ladies and gents – introducing the brand new 2012 Fenwick’s Bike range.

It’s been a long time in the making but Fenwicks have finally put the finishing touches to their new range and it features all sorts of top class products to keep your bike running sweet as a nut. The classic FS-1 and FS-10 cleaners are back – and joined by a host of brand new products.

We’ve been super happy to be using Fenwick’s products in the Wideopenmag pits at the last couple of Halo British Downhill and British 4X series’.

Fenwicks have been around for years … but have eased off the gas with the push bikes in the last couple of years. For years you couldn’t podium at a Pearce Cycles race without getting a bottle of Fenwick’s thrust into your hand.  Ridden Foel Gasnach in North Wales? The Fenwicks family were the first people to stump up cash to make it happen. Raced a National? It’s likely you saw the Fenwicks rocking their blue and checkered race-tops. They’re a genuine family, rider run brand. The new range sees them back and stronger than ever. We’re stoked to be working with them through the Wideopenmag race team this year.

Here’s a few of our favourite bits from the Fenwicks range:

FS-10 Bike Cleaner – a solvent free bike cleaner that’s kind to bikes and paint. Spray it on your bike when it’s dirty, let it soak into the mud for a couple of minutes, give it a rub with a brush and then rinse. Hey presto – shiny bicycle.

Suspension Lube Spray – A dirt repelling silicon spray that you can lash on your front and rear suspension to clean it up and help it slide smoothly. Also works nicely on your frame to stop mud sticking and adding weight when conditions are proper filthy. We use a lot of this stuff at the HaloBDS on Rich and Jay’s bikes…

Stealth Lube – Fenwick’s self proclaimed ‘top of the range’ lube and the one that we’ve used the most on the team’s race bikes. This one is designed to make your chain run quietly and last for ages. They reckon it’s aimed at all-day riding but it works super well as a fit and forget lube which has been a blessing at the races where we want to have to do as little to the bikes on race-day as possible.

Look out for Fenwick’s products in your local bike shop or check out their homepage here.
