Happy Easter Wideopenmag’ers – may your weekend be filled with bicycles and your bellies be filled with chocolate eggs.
If you can pause for breath between inhaling chocolate we’ve got some news for you about the future of Wideopenmag.
Good news first of all. Wideopen Magazine issue 20 is almost upon us and it is going to be heavy. We’ve got a massive feature on the super talented Mr Taylor Vernon, we’ve got interviews with Matt Jones and Adam Brayton, we’ve got Olly Wilkins interviewing his mate Sam Reynolds, we’ve got photos from some of the best in the business, season previews with 3 of our favourite race organisers … We’ve even got a story about breaking into Switzerland without your passport. It’s going to be massive.
And better news after that. Wideopenmag will – from now on – be printed. Yep, on paper. Like a ‘proper’ magazine. You’ll be able to hold it in your hand, take it on the bus, read it on the loo. In fact, we’d be honoured if you read it on the loo.
The ‘new’ print Wideopenmag will be available on our website and on the counter of bike shops all over the UK from April 2013. And – it will continue to be free. No cost. Nothing.
If you run a bike shop and you want to get hold of Wideopenmag – you can do it through a few of our favourite UK distributors. The first one that we’ve confirmed is Ison Distribution who will make the mag available on their B2B site.
The online version will also still be available for anyone that wants it. You can read that for free on any device that is internet enabled – and it looks particularly good on a tablet like an iPad or Kindle Fire. There’s a simple PDF version available and there’s also flashier mobile friendly versions available if you want them.
And don’t forget we’ll also be filming the full Saracen British Downhill Series and UK Gravity Enduro Series. We’ll be racing the full World Cup series and SBDS with our team and we’ll definitely be putting on another End of Season Party with our buddies at Monster Energy. Yep, it’s going to be a big year!
Wideopenmag Issue 20 – out in April 2013. Join our Facebook page here to stay in the loop.
You can get back to your chocolate eggs now. Cheers!
