World Exclusive: The all new Nukeproof Horizon pedal

Introducing the brand new Nukeproof Horizon pedal.

The Nukeproof Horizon is a brand new pedal for 2016. It has been designed in-house by the guys at Nukeproof and have been designed with Sam Hill’s size 9’s in mind. It’s one of two new pedals NP will release for 2016.

We don’t have loads of information on the new pedal but we do know that it has a nifty feature that lets you adjust the height of the pins. By fitting small spacers between the bolt-head of the pin and the pedal-body you can run lower-profile pins. Leave the spacers out to run taller, gripper, shin-burgerier pins.

The name? Marketing Manager Rob explained that it’s down to the pedal’s shape. It looks flat but actually if you look closer it’s curved – like the horizon, get it?

The Horizon will be available in 3 versions (weights are per pair):

Saracen Bike Sale Leader April 25
  • Composite version: 318g £39.99
  • Chromo-axle version: 430g £74.99
  • Titanium axle version: 362g £169.99 nukeproof horizon pedal (2 of 3)

Alongside the Horizon will be a new Sam Hill signature model that Sam designed and tested and then raced at Lenzerheide World Cup. Nukeproof are being super tight-lipped about that one though so you’ll have to wait a few more weeks to see it!

We’ve not had a ride on the Horizon yet … but as soon as they turn up we’ll fire another post up.
