UPDATE : Gee Atherton Injured at Fort William.

News just in from the Fort William British Downhill Series round is that Trek Factory Racing’s Gee Atherton has taken a big old stack.

Details on The Vulcan’s injuries aren’t confirmed at this time, but we do know Gee was stretchered off the hill as podiums for the 2nd round of the British Downhill Series came to a close.

Everyone at Wideopenmag would like to wish Gee all the best and a speedy recovery. We hope to see him back fighting fit for the World Cup on his home turf in a few weeks.

UPDATE : Trek Factory Racing’s Facebook page indicates that Gee suffered a dislocated hip after a massive over the bars in his finals run. The hip has been relocated and Gee is recovering.
