Intense Launch All-New Carbine.

Intense continue their forward momentum with the launch of their all-new Carbine, the 155mm travel 29er enduro/all mountain machine.

Intense Cycles has just unveiled the all-new Intense Carbine, the Californian brand’s latest JS Tuned 155mm rear travel race machine, which will be roaring onto a trail near you this July.

Intense have been pushing hard after a quiet few years with both a strong World Cup and EWS presence, plus the bikes to back them up. Their all-new Carbine claims to offer all the benefits of a long travel 29er, with the playfulness of a smaller wheeled, shorter travel machine.

Here’s the full press release:

Catering for riders serious about all-mountain and enduro performance, the new Intense Carbine has been completely redesigned by Intense founder and MTB legend Jeff Steber. The result? A carbon racing beast that perfects the 29er geometry conundrum to deliver the playful, nimble handling usually associated with smaller wheels and the big-wheel benefits of increased grip, improved float over rough ground and ultimately, speed.

This almost alchemical mix is available in five models with two gorgeous finish choices per model, as well as a frame-only option in two finishes.

The Factory, Elite and Pro builds (plus the frame-only option) come with an ultra-light SL carbon frame and Ti hardware; the Expert and Foundation models use a full carbon frame with alloy link.

As with all Intense bikes, the new Carbine is packed with features, here are a few of the highlights:

· Internally sleeved cables

Saracen Bike Sale Leader April 25

· Integrated Boost 148×12 dropouts

· JS Tuned suspension with 155mm metric shock and 160mm front travel

· Integrated chainstay protectors

· Flak guard with integrated cable guides

· Super low stand over

Intense Factory Racing team rider Jack Moir has already been putting the new Carbine through its paces at the EWS. As a DH rider, ‘Shark Attack’ Jack wanted to find out what all the enduro fuss was about and have an excuse to have some fun on the new Carbine. With three top 10 finishes out of three races and multiple top-three stage times, there is no doubt this bike has speed on its side.

The bike will be landing with exclusive UK distributor, Saddleback, at the end of the first week of July. Expect stock to be limited and demand high, so get in touch with your local Intense dealer ASAP if you’re interested in adding one to your collection.

Full details on the Carbine can be found on Intense’s website here. For any UK enquiries, head to Saddleback.
