2016 delivered a great event just up the road at Revolution Bike Park with a fantastic course, challenging the best riders from all around the UK, many of whom are amongst the best in the world, as they fought it out to gain the title of National Champion and the right to wear the National Champion’s sleeve for the following twelve months.

Last year Rachel Atherton took the ladies title, which was her fifth straight victory. Greg Williamson took the men’s category, clinching the title of National Champion for the first time in his career.

Entries are open now but in line with regulations for National Championship events will close before the event. So please don’t delay!

For 2017 we return the village of Llangynog and head slightly further down the lane to the Rhyd Y Felin venue, which has been raced for a number of years and is a firm favourite with riders, a great long track will provide another group of worthy National Champions.

Uplift will be provided by the Pearce Cycles fleet of landrovers which should give riders lots of track time. Timing will this year be from the Action Sports Timing team. Mike and the rest of the Borderline Events team look forward to welcoming you to the race.

Who’s your money on? Can Tahnee or Manon steal the jersey from Rach? Will Greg hold onto the jersey another year or will a flying Danny Hart spoil the party? We’ll have to wait and see!
