Aaron Gwin showed his true class in Mont Saint Anne with a win in the pouring rain despite having the worst conditions.
Gwin did what Minnaar did in Fort William, which was to show how a champion deals with the rain and pretended it wasn’t. Despite the water coming from all directions, the Californian made his World Cup series statement in Canada with a resounding win.
The title race is now wide open, with Gwin heading to a track he has won on by massive margins on in the past. Remember when Minnaar pushed too hard in Val di Sole a few years back? Is this history repeating itself?
