Round 3 of the Vitus First Tracks Enduro Cup brings us to Bigwood in Northern Ireland, half way
between Belfast and Dublin.

Bigwood is renowned for its easy transitions that lead to some of the best trails in the country. To top it off Narrow Water Castle was the back drop to the Race village so with these ingredients everyone was in for a treat.

Summer can never guarantee us dusty dry trails. Certainly not in Ireland! But we have to ride on what we got. The dirt during practice was getting to that perfect tacky consistency where you could lay off the brakes and trust your rubber to hook up in every turn. (Hero dirt) Everyone was loving it, but was everything just too perfect?

Sunday morning and race day had different ideas. As the first racers began to pull their bikes out
Mother Nature decided she needed to keep the dust down a bit. Quite a bit actually as all those
sniper roots had now raised their ugly heads grabbing at any tyre within reach. There was a lot of
head scratching and tyre choice was the talk of the pits but all you could really do was rely on a bit of skill and crack on with it!
