Big news from Trans Provence today as series organisers confirm the series will not return in 2018.
In the video, Race Founder Ash Smith explains that his multi-day enduro epic event won’t return and that he’s stepping back to spend more time with his family and to pour over some old maps and explore some new areas.
Ash explains that the spirit of the event is “to go news places and ride new things” and that “finding and preparing new things to ride and race in the time I have available to me is becoming difficult to me”. He goes on to explain that where he can’t make the event “an adventure into the unknown” then he doesn’t want to continue.
Will there be Trans Provence in 2019 or beyond that? That’s unclear. We certainly hope so!
