Nukeproof launch their Horizon wheels that Team Wideopenmag will be using at all their races for the 2018 season.

The Horizon wheelset comes with a tubeless-ready, WTB-developed, rim with a 29mm inner width to help the tyre offer maximum traction. These are laced to a CNC’d custom hub via Sandvik 302t double-butted spokes and brass nipples.

The hubs feature improved EZO sealed cartridge bearings from Japan and an 84-point engagement system to get the lion’s share of your your power through to the dirt.

Available in 27.5″ and 29″, as well as all the usual axle widths and diameters, including BOOST, there’s not many modern bikes you won’t be able to fit these to.

On top of the news that wheels augment the Horizon range, Nukeproof have also announced their continued support of Luke Cryer, who you can see in putting his Mega 275c and the new wheels through their paces above.

VANZAC and Australia’s favourite son (officially), Jackson Davis joins the Nukeproof fold alongside Luke. Expect him to have a wild season of drinking and doing what he fancies, with the occasional outbreak of loose bicycle riding.

These guys will be racing downhill, 4x, Crankworx events and a whole host of other loose projects. Luke and Jackson will use a full range of Horizon components on their Pulse, Mega and Scouts.

Full details on the new Horizon wheels can be found over on Nukeproof’s website here.

Nukeproof are distributed in the UK by Hotlines Europe.
