Introducing the new Cotic Escapade

Another day, another new bike from Cotic!

This time it’s the new-look Cotic Escapade and what looks like a brilliantly fun all-rounder for weekend gravel blasting and midweek commutes alike.

The Cotic Escapade is a bit of an all rounder. It’s a road bike. It’s a gravel bike. It’s a bike for getting fit, going on big adventures, riding to work or spinning down the pub. It’ll go on and off-road.

Cotic say that “most people would call it a gravel bike these days, but that would sell it short. We see it as a road bike without limitations“.

The size and shape of the Escapade has been designed with a mountain bike twist – it’s not steep and upright like a roadie bike. It’s been designed to be comfy, stable and fun to ride.

The new-look Escapade has been tweaked in line with the changes that Cotic have made to the Roadrat last year.

The bike now gets an integral tapered head tube and a new fork with carbon blades and an alloy steerer. There’s also now a full carbon fork option and the frames / forks have been updated with flat brake mounts to allow for modern discs.

Geometry has also been tweaked on the Extra Small and Small bikes to make seat angles steeper and head angles slacker to make them a bit comfier and reduce toe overlap.

An Escapade frameset will cost you £499 with a carbon and alloy fork.

£599 gets you a frame with the full carbon RB5 fork.

Complete bikes start with a £1099 Sora build, £1349 for a Tiagra build or £1699 for a 105 hydraulic build. There’s also options for Road Plus and hope 20FIVE wheels.

Cotic reckon bikes are available right now you can be riding one within a week of ordering.
