DMR Launch the New Axe LE Crank | What You Need to Know.

DMR have launched the new Axe LE crank with a suitably daft video from South Africa starring Olly Wilkins and Brendan Fairclough.

DMR claim their new hollow-forged allow arm and a massive 30mm axle make the Axe LE crank strong and stiff enough for DH, enduro and trail use.

Key features:

  • Lightweight 790g (Arms, BB and Direct mount Blade 34t)
  • ø30mm axle for unrivalled stiffness
  • 165mm, 170mm or 175mm options
  • 83mm/165mm DH spec
  • Euro BB, PF30, BB30, BB92, 68-73mm/83mm Threaded
  • ‘SRAM’ style direct mount compatible
  • £160.00 RRP
  • DMRBikes.com

The Axe LE crank is DMR’s first to feature their ‘Hollowform’ technology which is essentially a hollow forged allow crank arm. Compared to the standard Axe crank this lowers weight while increasing stiffness.

Cranks arms are supplied without the 30mm axle, so you can choose what length of axle you need to suit your setup.

As with any modern crankset, plenty of bottom bracket options are available, but the Axe LE crank can only be used with the Axe BB. Bottom bracket options are 68/73mm or 83mm threaded, BB30, PF30 and BB92.

The Axe LE cranks take direct mount DMR Blade rings or have a direct mount spider for anyone wanting to run a 2 x setup.
