After years of campaigning by Cycling UK and Open Access MTB, the Welsh Government will implement an assumption of access rights across the country.
This is great news for everyone who enjoys heading to Wales to explore the countryside whether it be on bike or horseback, as the Welsh Government will implement proposals that will dramatically increase off-road access.
The new legislation is likely to be the largest land reform change since Scotland made the Land Reform Act law in 2003. Many footpaths will now be open to cyclists and horse riders as long as they stick to the code of conduct, mirroring the Scottish model.
