The Stash Multi-Tool puts a tiny multi-tool in your steerer tube, for less than $60 and with no tapping of your steerer required.
We’re big fans of Granite Designs. They make some really neat-and-tidy tools that stash away in your bike and save you having to carry a back-pack. They also make the Granite Designs Hex Stand which is a very nifty travel-work stand that’s perfect for working on your bike on road trips or holidays abroad.
The new Granite Stash MultiTool puts a multi-tool and spoke key in your steerer tube.
The tool comes with 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 and 6mm Allen keys, a T25, a flat headscrew driver and 4 spoke key. Granite say that the whole unit, tool included, weighs 135g.
Installation looks pleasing simple and is more like the Specialized SWAT system than the OneUp EDC.
The tool sits inside a sleeve, which is clamped into your steerer tube by a long threaded nut. There’s no need to thread your steerer or run a specific stem.
We’ve not tried the installation ourself but, it looks pretty straightforward.
