Rhyd-Y-Felin Will Host the 2020 British National Downhill Championships.

Si Paton will return to national race organisation to host the 2020 British National Downhill Championships at Rhyd-y-Felin.

Off the back of the announcement of the five-round 2020 British National Downhill Series, it’s also been revealed that Si Paton will take the 2020 British National Downhill Championships to Rhyd-y-Felin in North Wales.

Read the statement from Si Paton below:

“We are honoured and proud that British Cycling has entrusted the HSBC UK National Downhill Championships to us. The whole team is thankful that we have been recognised for our hard work, dedication to the sport and vision over the last 12 years.

“Rhyd-y-Felin is a brilliant venue and offers a challenging course fit for a national championships. In the past we’ve seen brilliant performances from British riders on the world stage, and it is vital that we have high-quality venues such as this to strengthen the current talent pool in Britain.”

Danny Hart and Stacy Fisher took the Elite titles at Revolution Bike Park back in July. Can the Redcar Rocket keep the stripes in 2020, and can Stacy see off the return of Rachel Atherton and Tahnee Seagrave?
