Canyon have launched Canyon Factory Racing editions of their ever popular Strive enduro full suspensions, claiming some seriously low weights.
The Canyon Strive has been around for some time now, and with the likes of Dimitri Tordo and Ines Thoma getting to the sharp end of the Enduro World Series on them, Canyon have released a CFR (Canyon Factory Racing) edition with a lightened frame and dream spec.
Canyon have done more than just up the spec from the usual 9.0 Strive. The carbon layup has been tweaked to drop 300g (0.66lbs) off the weight of the frame, making the CFR 9.0 come in under the crucial 30lb mark. That’s an awful lot of bike for not much weight…
Reach is marginally shorter than the standard Strive at 434mm on the medium compared to 440mm, this is combined with a 440mm seat tube length. With the Shapeshifter, geometry is adjustable, with head angle at 65.5 for descending and 67 for climbing, and 73.5 and 75 respectively.
Strive CFR 9.0
You’d be hard-pushed to think that a full XTR groupset, top of the line Fox dampers, carbon DT Swiss wheels and the rest of the glitter would hold you back on the trails, and at a penny shy of six grand, you’d certainly hope the Canyon Strive CFR 9.0 will step up to the plate.
