Santa Cruz Heckler eBike | Everything You Need to Know.

Santa Cruz Heckler joins the eBike party with this latest full suspension bike and sees the return of the iconic Heckler to the line up.

150mm travel, 27.5″ wheels and a Shimano Steps motor and battery. Plenty to talk about as the Santa Cruz Heckler takes the brand into the world of eBikes.

Featuring subtle geometry tweaks compared to its unassisted brethren the Bronson, will the Santa Cruz Heckler take the eBike world by storm?

The Santa Cruz Heckler is the brand’s first foray into the eBike game and comes with 150mm of VPP rear travel with the lower link driven shock as with most new Santa Cruz models, a 160mm fork, Carbon CC only likely to fit the integrated batter, and with a lifetime warranty.

Power is provided by a Shimano Steps E8000 motor, with a 540wh integrated battery.

Four models are available the CC R, the CCS, the CC XO1 Reserve and the CC XX1 AXS Reserve, starting at £6,699 and rising to an eye-watering £11,999. Second hand Porsche Cayman anyone?

Geometry

Geometry is similar, but not identical to the Bronson. A 160mm fork will rake the head tube angle out to 65.5 degrees, coupled to a size-specific seat tube angle. 76.2 for the small, and 75.4 on the XXL.

Reach on the medium is 445mm and is mated to a sensibly short 405mm seat tube. Dropper drop lengths also change with the sizes, with the small getting a 125mm and the XXL getting a 170-200mm.

Riding a Heckler in the UK

Over two separate weekends, Santa Cruz will be at Pedal A Bike Away in the Forest of Dean on 22nd & 23rd February and in the Tweed Valley with our good friends at Tweed Valley Guides on 29th & 1st February/March with our fleet of brand new Santa Cruz Hecklers.

A range of sizes for everyone to choose from will be available which you can book here. There will be two sessions per day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon.

These will be guided rides, providing the opportunity to ride with others and with Santa Cruz Staff, allowing you to go deep into the knowledge of the Heckler.

Each ride will be roughly 2 to 3 hours providing plenty of time to push the Heckler to its limits.

There will be a cost of £20 per ride involved, but 100% of the money will be donated to the local Trail Associations.
