2020 Canyon SpectralON | Everything You Need to Know.

Canyon have released their second generation SpectralON that has been on a serious diet and hidden its battery.

Canyon’s latest model of the SpectralON sees the bike have plenty of minor tweaks that should lead to an altogether different, and better, riding mullet offering.

The carbon front triangle and the integrated battery are likely the biggest of the changes to the new Canyon SpectralON. The former helping the bike shed a full kilogramme (2.2 pounds lighter), while the integrated battery makes the new model almost look like a normal mountain bike at first glance.

A redesigned front triangle also offers more stiffness while the integrated battery lowers the bike’s centre of gravity. The chainstays grow 5mm to assist with climbing traction and the head angle drops to 66.5 degrees. The 150mm rear wheel travel also finds itself a little more linear thanks to a longer rocker.

Spec-wise, tyres drop to 2.6″ Maxxis EXO+ models, to reduce tyre squirm felt on the outgoing model’s 2.8″ tyres. Brakes are all 4-piston numbers on 203mm rotors, wheels are ebike specific with steel freehubs to deal with the increased torque
