The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has stated that people can use “common sense to meet loved ones outdoors.”
Applying to England alone, the Foreign Secretary has stated today that as long as the 2m distance is maintained and that it’s done outside, then meetings between loved ones can now be a part of an easing lockdown.
This is part of the Government’s 50-page plan to ease lockdown, announced by Boris Johnson yesterday, even if this statement by Raab contradicts that.
Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish governments have repeated the urge to stay at home. With cases of the virus still active nationwide, none of this removes the risk of becoming infected with COVID-19 and the government still advises social distancing.
