We were hoping we’d only have to deal with losing Lenzerheide this week, but news just in is that the organisers have requested Les Gets gets the chop too.
Barely has the ink dried on the news that the Lenzerheide round of the UCI World Cup was cancelled, that we’ve learned that Les Gets has now been dropped at the request of the organisers.
Leogang and the World Champs will, as we write this, be the first time racers will go head-to-head at the end of the first week of October. This might get interesting with team selection with very few races to base criteria on.
As it stands, the 2020 UCI World Cup schedule looks like this:
- 5-11 October: Leogang, Austria, World Champs
- 15-18 October: Maribor, Slovenia – two rounds
- 29 October-1st November: Lousa, Portugal – two rounds
