2021 Nukeproof Dissent | Everything You Need to Know.

Nukeproof launch a six bike Dissent range with two models and three wheel size options to help you get the most out of your riding preferences.

The traditional 275 and 290 versions of the Nukeproof Dissent are joined by the 297 option for 2021, the latter being a mullet variety that was built into the 290 frame from the beginning.

Six bikes make up the 2021 Nukeproof Dissent range. All-alloy frames, two specs in the RS and Comp, with three wheel size options; 27.5″, 29″ and Mullet. All designed to be raceable out of the box with no shortcuts made on spec that might compromise a hot opening lap.

An adjustable flip chip in the linkage offers varying degrees of suspension progression without affecting the geometry of the bike, essentially the coil shock version of a token. Chainstay flip chips also allow you to fine tune your chainstay length to further customise the bike to how you want it to feel on track.

Other than that, designed as a race bike for those who will ride it week in, week out, you get the usual downhill specs like a custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium frame, 63-degree head angle, 200mm of travel via the new Dissent platform. You also get a true 1.5” head tube, ISCG 05 mounts and a 157mm x 12mm rear axle too.

2021 Nukeproof Dissent models

The Nukeproof Dissent range offers very similar geometry across the three wheel size options, with only wheelbase and reach changing depending on your chosen model.

Seat tubes remain static across the sizes at 405mm, chainstays adjustable in 5mm increments between 435 and 445mm and a 63 degree head angle are your numbers that won’t go changing.

On the size mediums, you get a 440mm reach on the 290 and 297, with a slightly longer 445mm reach on the 275. Wheelbase unsurprisingly grows from 1241mm on the 275 to 1254 on the 297 and 1264mm on the 290.
