Despite rain putting a spanner in the practice works yesterday, the Crankworx Innsbruck downhill would go smoothly if slippery today.
Bar a few French Cups, Crankworx Innsbruck would be one of the first races to see a strong international presence ahead of next weekend’s World Championships in Leogang, just 90 minutes east.

Elite Women
Vali Höll pipped Tracy Hannah by just under a second, proving she’s well in contention to battle for a medal at the World Champs next weekend.
Shout out to Scottish pinner and EWS podium star Ella Conolly who bagged a sixth on her enduro bike. Morgane Charre made it yet more silverware by rounding out the podium in third.

Elite Men
David Trummer would also see off some strong competition and take the win by 1.6 seconds over Eddie Masters.
Adrien Dailly shrugged off crashes and punctures at the finale round of the EWS to take a sixth on his enduro bike.
Amongst a star-studded Elite Male field a certain Kiwi had made it a target to get back to racing in Innsbruck. Nobody would have expected Brook MacDonald to come in just over five seconds shy of the win, but he did. What an utter sir.
