Specialized have launched their Roval Traverse Alloy wheels that come in under the 2 kilogramme mark for £650.
There’s no stopping The Big S as ever, as they follow up multiple bike launches with some fresh alloy hoops that are easy on the scales and the wallet.

Taking lessons from the Traverse carbon offerings, the new Traverse alloy are made of E5 aluminium alloy only come in 70g heavier (comparing 29″ wheels) than their much pricier brethren at a fraction of the cost. They are the go-to training wheel for the Specialized Enduro Team.
The Roval hubs run on DT Swiss 370 internals with the upgraded ratchet LN engagement and on the 30mm wide rim use the same length spokes on both front and rear wheels.
