Tested : Ben’s 100% Racecraft 2 Goggle Review.

Ridden to multiple World Cup and World Championship success, the 100% Racecraft 2 certainly has the pedigree between the tape.

The Racecraft 2 goggle from 100% is a feature-packed premium goggle for motocross and mountain biking. Ben has been running a set all winter to see how they fare.

Key features:

  • Dual injected outriggers for balanced fit
  • Ultra-thick triple layer face foam
  • 45mm wide silicone coated strap
  • Anti-fog coated polycarbonate lens
  • £79.99 RRP
  • 100PerCent.com

The Racecraft 2 feature a wide polycarbonate lens with a broad field of view, housed in a flexible motocross inspired style frame, complete with outriggers that improve fit when worn with a full face helmet. The foam is noticeably thicker than on my other goggles and this serves to make them super comfy and they should help to soak up sweat when summer finally rolls round.

The silicon lined strap is easy to adjust and never slipped, gripping your helmet securely. Whilst testing was limited due to lock down restrictions, I did manage quite a few damp, muddy trail rides to really test the anti-fog lens which was pretty effective in all but the wettest conditions where pretty much any goggle quickly becomes unusable.

With 10 colours available and a wide range of lenses, you can match it with any riding or race kit you like, from low key to super-lairy.

Out on the trails I found these to do everything you need. Thy kept the crap out of my eyes, stayed put, didn’t mist up and were comfy. They do look quite big when worn with a trail helmet and are certainly designed with a full face in mind, but they still played nicely with trail lids from Troy Lee, Smith and Leatt.

What do we think?

Top quality goggles with all the features you need. The fact they are motocross certified as well should give you confidence in the strength and protection offered by the lens.

We Love:

  • Wide choice of colours
  • Comfy padding
  • Anti-fog lens treatment

Could Do Better:

  • Look quite big when worn with a trail helmet
