The Enduro Sports Organisation owns and operates the mountain bike Enduro World Series and electric MTB equivalent, EWS-E. With a global community of events and professional teams and thousands of amateur and professional athletes. About the role

We are looking for a Lead Developer to join our expanding team. You will be fundamental in project completion and over time build, mentor and manage a team of younger developers.

You will be responsible for leading on all software development, aligning and maximising our partner’s at Play Sports Group, Discovery Inc and Eurosport’s existing technology while developing specialist programmes for our growing events and communications business.

You will be required to be involved in estimating effort to deliver requirements, providing insight into technical solutions to solve requirements and helping to drive continuous improvements within our company.

We’re looking for someone:

  • Focused, self-motivated
  • Have an ability to work alone or alongside fellow developers
  • Able to set up continuous integration/deployment pipelines>
  • Comfortable architecting a solution to a stated problem
  • Able to communicate complexities and risks related to a solution
  • Aware of security and personal data protection in any solution

With experience of:

  • Building complex CMS systems in PHP
  • Setting up continuous integration/deployment pipelines
  • Complex SQL queries
  • Designing secure Restful / GraphQL APIs
  • Automated unit & integration testing
  • Working with modern tooling (Git, CI/CD, ticketing systems, code-reviews)
  • It’d be great if you also have experience with:
  • PHP frameworks such as Symphony / Laravel / October
  • AWS or another cloud provider (including containerisation and managed SQL systems)
  • Cloud migration
  • Mentoring team members or building a team
  • ReactJS / VueJS or ReactNative / Flutter experience

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Monday to Friday with flexible working available and weekend requirements during major events
