Five time World Cup Champion Aaron Gwin is conspicuous in his absence from USA Cycling’s World Champs team.

Word on the street is that a missed petition deadline to USA Cycling meant that Aaron Gwin was not part of the selection process for the 2021 World Champs squad.

With a max of seven spaces available in an Elite Men’s downhill squad and those places being taken by Luca Shaw, Dakotah Norton, Neko Mullaly, Charlie Harrison, Nikolas Nesteroff and Dante Silva, he might be lucky to make it as a reserve rider.
