Orange Launch the Stage 6 EVO.

Orange Bikes have remixed their Stage 6 all-mountain recipe to produce a slightly more aggressive 29er in the form of the Stage 6 EVO.

The new Stage 6 EVO from Orange features less travel, reach and head angle but gains more progression, and offset swingarm and a more neutral pivot position.

Orange have taken their Stage 6 platform and given it a tweak to produce the Stage 6 EVO. The limited run ‘SE’ edition is available now, following Orange tradition of doing launch-specific models before releasing their range later on.

The EVO recipe sees rear wheel travel drop to 140mm, designed around a 150mm fork. Head tube angle drops, BB height rises, and as ever, Orange have used the new model to introduce new features.

A new asymmetric swingarm construction has been introduced on the Stage 6 EVO, designed to improve stiffness and strength. Your 140mm also features a more progressive suspension curve, while an offset bearing housing neutral pivot position. The bolt through rear axle now threads into a UDH gear hanger.

The Stage 6 EVO’s new swingarm also allows for new bearing housings, different tube thicknesses, which bumps the stiffness and strength numbers up without adding to the weight of the frame. Torsional stiffness also increases and is a bonus when you’re on the power, whilst also enhances shock performance.
