Nukeproof Release the New Digger Into the Wild.

Nukeproof give their gravel/adventure bike, the Digger, a revamp with the new model sporting… yes, a suspension fork.

A gravel bike at the mountain bike end of the spectrum, the Nukeproof Digger gets a tickle to bring it up to date.

The Nukeproof Digger gets an entirely new tubeset to increase strength, which is a good thing going by the video above. While certainly not heavy, it might not be the raciest on the start line of any gravel stage race.

Reach grows by 20mm across the board, with head angles dropping a full two degrees as well. The thinking here is this will allow shorter stems for more aggressive riding, while the clearance for a 45mm tyre backs that up, with healthy tyre clearance too. Seat tubes are now shorter as well, to make the most of dropper posts.

The carbon fork has been redesigned too to be stiffer where it needs to be, and more compliant in the right places.

For those wanting to take the Digger into the wilderness and beyond, Nukeproof have included pannier and rack mounts, gear accessories mounts, fork bag mounting points, two water bottle mounts and mud guard/ fender points. It’s got everything but kitchen sink mounts…

Riders of a certain vintage will remember the Rockshox Judy. We all wanted some of those cherry red forks at some point… Well, it’s now a gravel fork and the RS spec Digger now comes with a little more give than the carbon fork might. A full 30mm of travel is now on tap.

Geometry

The Nukeproof Digger is available in Small, Medium, Large and XLarge.

Reach on the Medium is 419mm with the seat tube of 480 seat tube length. Head tube angle is 69 degrees with a seat tube angle of 74 degrees. Chainstays are 430mm on all sizes.
