Hope Launch Their New F22 Flat Pedal.

A full decade since they launched the ever-popular F20 flat pedal, Hope have released their latest design in the form of the F22.

Hope drop their first new flat pedal design in ten years with the F22 that builds on the long-lived F20 design.

Key features:

  • Concave body
  • Asymmetric, tapered profile
  • Hex shape pins
  • Three cartridge bearings and an IGUS bush
  • Internal and external sealing
  • Fully serviceable and re-buildable
  • Stronger axle design
  • 360g per pair
  • £145.00 RRP
  • Hopetech.com

Whilst the internals of the new Hope F22 flat pedal may be the same, the classic three bearings and an IGUS bush, the rest of the pedal is all-new. Designed to be larger, stronger and grippier than the F20, the F22 has a much larger, tapered, concave platform with a stronger axle.

Key to the amount of grip on a flat pedal is its concave nature, and the F22 has upped the concave compared to its older brother. Hex pins are also shorter over the axle to increase that feeling of your footing sitting ‘in’ the pedal.

22 pins total per pedal should offer plenty of traction and customisation options. Speaking of which, you also get the usual spread of Hope anodised colours, black, silver, red, purple, orange and blue. Weight is 360g per pair.
