The Merida EX Enduro Announces 2023 Pre-Registration and 2024 eEX.

Pre-registration is open for the 2023 The Merida EX Enduro, Presented by Shimano, with the eEX being added to the 2024 roster.

One of the highly praised jewels in the UK racing crown, The Merida EX Enduro, is open for pre-registration, and will add an ebike event in 2024, the eEX.

After another great instalment of THE MERIDA EX in the late summer of 2022, the Exmoor-based 3-day enduro will return in 2023, once again, with the support of Shimano.

Going by the feedback from countless riders, the event partners and the press, the 2022 event was able to impress with great riding, perfect weather, lashings of delicious food and drink and a long list of unusual and exciting event details, creating a unique enduro experience for everybody.

The 2023 event will take place on the 15-17th of September 2023 and will be based in Allerford, a small village between Minehead and Porlock.

As in the years gone by, THE MERIDA EX will remain small, and just 80 riders will get the chance to challenge themselves over three unforgettable days of mountain biking.

More than just a race, THE MERIDA EX presented by Shimano, is an adventure filled with punishing climbs, beautiful singletrack and stunning descents on some of the least-ridden trails in the country. Over the three days, the riders will tackle more than 20 timed special stages spread over approx. 110 km of riding.

All the event details can be found on the event details page.

Following the overwhelming feedback from the last two events, the Exposure Lights ‘Night Enduro’ stages have very much become part of the ‘furniture’ and will also return in 2023. So, riders should be prepared for some night racing action followed by scrumptious food just meters from the finish line of your final night riding stage.

Pre-register now:

As in previous years, riders will need to pre-register their interest in the event to receive the private entry link, which goes live on the 5th of March 2023 at 9 am. In the last few years, the event sold out in a matter of minutes, so pre-registration is strongly advised. To pre-register, please click here.

2023 and beyond…

And while the main focus is very much on the 2023 event, THE EX is already looking ahead to 2024 and is keen to share the long-term plans. As mentioned above, the 2023 event will follow closely in the footsteps of the last few years, but in 2024 THE ‘classic’ EX will take a break, and THE ‘e-bike only’ eEX will take over the trails around Allerford. Following the same all-inclusive principles and featuring the proven EX elements, THE eEX will be able to add a long list of exciting e-bike-specific details to the line-up.

THE eEX is also supported by MERIDA and Shimano, who will not just have a fleet of test bikes and equipment at the event but will also get heavily involved in the racing action.

Similar to the 2023 event, a 2024 pre-registration option has been added to the PRE-REGISTRATION PAGE so that riders who are keen to get involved in THE 2024 MERIDA eEX presented by Shimano can put their name down. The first few details of THE 2024 eEX can be found on the FAQ page of the event website.

The remaining details about the 2024 event will be released after the 2023 event. So, watch this space.
