The Nukeproof Horizon Pro wheels have been tested prior to release by the Nukeproof-SRAM Factory team to fine tune them to be the best wheels Nukeproof have offered. Taking the Horizon V2 as a base, the designers have left no stone unturned to create the Horizon Pro.
At the heart of the wheelset is the 54t ratchet system which offers smoother operation and less power lost to drag in the system. A ratchet is also smaller than a traditional pawl and spring mechanism so the hub can be made smaller and lighter. In a further attempt to smooth rolling out, all hubs run on Enduro ABEC 5 bearings, that also feature double lip seals to keep the grease in and the gunk out.
Spoke count drops to 28t and the hubs run on straight pull spokes throughout. These lace to Nukeproof alloy rims with a 30mm internal profile, aimed at taking 2.3-2.5″ tyres. Rims are pre-taped and tubeless ready. Wheels are available in Boost sizing and 6-bolt configuration only. Rear hubs will be available in SRAM XD or Shimano HG or Microspline configurations.
