Latest in a long line of multi-day enduro races vying for your time and cash is the NZ MTB Rally that kicks off next March on the South Island.
Heading to Nelson on New Zealand’s South Island from March 9th-16th 2024 is the inaugural NZ MTB Rally taking in six days of blind enduro racing on the region’s best mountain bike trails.

The NZ MTB Rally will see 120 riders take in Wairoa Gorge, Golden Bay, Cable Bay, Coppermine and Marlborough Sound, racking up 800-1300m of climbing and 2300-3000m descending per day. Uplift and logistics will be assisted by 4X4s, two heli drops and some boat access. Each day will consist of between 4 and 6 stages a day. Three separate base camps providing under-roof sleeping will be the end of each day.
Pricing will be confirmed in August 2023, but currently, pricing is roughly 3750 NZD (approx. £1800) for all-inclusive pricing, with self supported racing at 2500 NZD (approx. £1200). Entries are selected from the ballot of those registered. A 50% deposit is due at registration.
All entries will be pooled together after 24 hours of them going live. All successful applicants will be contacted within 48 hours and anyone unsuccessful within 72. Remaining 50% of entry will be due December 1st 2023.
