The fist two UCI Downhill World Champions have been crowned in Fort William as the Junior titles were decided this afternoon.
The Junior titles would be the first to be decided this afternoon ahead of the Elite seeding runs. Full results below.
Junior Women
Kiwi pinner Erice van Leuven would make good her opening World Cup round win by taking the Rainbow Stripes at the first time of asking. She’d be a full 5.2 seconds clear of silver medallist and fellow Kiwi Poppy Lane, who would pip Sacha Earnest, another Kiwi by 0.4.
You have to feel for Aimi Kenyon who missed out on the podium by 1.1 seconds at her home World Champs.
Junior Men
Canyon CLLCTV Pirelli’s Henri Kiefer would lay down a heater as the fast lads came down the hill, crossing the line with a multi-second margin. Only Bodhi Kuhn looked to go better with a coupe of green splits, but once the dust had settled, the young German would be crowned victorious. Frenchman Leo Abella would take bronze.
