And Your Fastest Qualifiers in Les Gets Are…

Les Gets once again has provided the flat out track and the glorious sunshine. Here’s who went quickest in the French dust.

Here’s the four riders who took the first run of the points at round 6 of the 2023 UCI Downhill World Cup in Les Gets.

Junior Women

With Erice Van Leuven being heli’d off the hill yesterday (happy healing Erice!), the door was open was the rest of the Junior Women in qualis. Lais Bonnaure would smash the lower split to see of a charging Lisa Bouladou, with Sacha Earnest rounding out the top three.

Junior Men

Ryan Pinkerton once again proved he’s the guy to bat, putting almost three seconds into his fellow American Evan Medcalf. Roee Ostfeld closed out the top three some seven seconds off the pace.

Saracen Bike Sale Leader April 25

Elite Women

Would you believe it… Vali Höll put three and a half seconds in Marine Cabirou who was herself three up on Monika Hrastnik. Nina Hoffman took a dive in her quali run. Syndicate socials say DNF, timing sheet says DSQ. She’s protected so it should make no difference to semis.

Elite Men

Benoit Coulanges once again puts a second into everyone in qualifying… Will we see the big Frenchman taking his inaugural World Cup win on home soil? Loris Vergier rolled into second 0.981 back, with a flying Dak Norton 0.4 behind the Frenchman.

Adreas Kolb clearly had an issue before split 4. He was second at the first three splits then ninety-first at split 4. He’s protected so hopefully he’s not hurt and can go again for semis.
