Starling Cycles have released a shorter travel version of their already multi-travel option Murmur and have added UDH rear triangles to their line up.
A 120mm Starling Murmur is now an option if you yearn for that UK-made steel magic for your downcountry gallops. V2 and V3 rear triangles also gain UDH hanger compatibility and move to post brake mounts.
Reducing the shock stroke to 210 x 50mm has produced the Starling Murmur Downcountry, a 120mm travel, single pivot steel machine. What’s not to like? Paired with a 120mm fork brings the geometry into line and offers a bike that covers the ground that wee bit faster.
This shorter travel option is addition to the two travel options available for the Murmur, the Trail at 135mm and Enduro at 150mm travel. Head and seat angles steepen by 1.2° to 66.2° and 79° respectively. This bike seen above comes in at a whisker under 28lbs with DT Swiss dampers and wheels, SRAM XO AXS T-type drive train and complete with an one-off IPA finish.
In addition to this, rear triangles from Starling will now be UDH compatible meaning you can run SRAM T-type transmission ad get hangers pretty much anywhere. The other change is the switch from IS to post mount which reduces the need for adaptors with a 180mm rear rotor.
V2 and V3 rear triangles will be made available for existing Murmur owners who wish to upgrade their rear ends. Starling Murmur frames start at £1,990.00 with standard paint.
