Five Ten’s Flooce Wind Jacket doesn’t take much working out. It’s a jacket, designed to keep the wind out and is made of flooce, a 100% recycled polyester ripstop that looks somewhat like soft shell on the outside but is soft and, dare we say it, fleecy inside.

Fit is slim and with a generous hood, the WIND.RDY patches on the upper and front of the arms help keep the moving air out and the heat in. The tail is slightly dropped and features a mud-repellent fabric to help keep the trail clart from making the jacket heavy. The reflective details only really show themselves in low light but they’re there and they do work.

As soon as this jacket arrived, I wanted a second one. It’s that good. Whether it’s an extra layer for a run to the shops or something to go on top of a long sleeve when the spring and autumn days are still cool but it’s stopped raining, this jacket is the business.

Comfy enough for all day in the saddle, the pockets are deep and have the same fleecy lining as the rest of the jacket. The chest pocket is generous too. Once this thing is out of the washing machine it’s dry, I’m usually working on it needing to go straight back to get washed, it’s that good.

What do we think?

The Five Ten Flooce Wind Jacket does exactly what it says on the tin, and essentially doubles up as a light weight hoody when you’re not on the bike.

We love:

  • Super comfy
  • Keeps the wind out

Could do better:

  • You’re not going to buy too many £120 hoodies
