The YT Mob will, for 2025, boast two of the fastest Austrians with Andreas Kolb joining their ranks as the team eyes team ranking, and general, domination.
Your current Austrian and European Downhill Champion, Andreas Kolb, will be rocking the YT Mob colours at this year’s UCI Downhill World Cups, amongst other races.
Whilst the rumours proved to be true, don’t forget Kolb did indeed sign with Continental Atherton until the end of this year not two years ago.
Read the YT Mob press release below.
It’s official. The rumors are true. Off the back of a dominant season, the YT MOB welcomes one of the fastest names in Downhill to its ranks, Andreas Kolb. With two European Downhill Championships and a World Cup to his name, Andi joins the MOB alongside Vali Höll, Oisin O’Callaghan, and Kasper Woolley.
With Kolb, the MOB takes a step closer to its vision of becoming one of the top teams on the circuit. While the squad has shared individual success, these changes place them in a position to climb higher and top the team rankings, something the MOB hasn’t yet achieved.
“The move to the MOB was a no-brainer! The team already feels like family, and I’m completely aligned with the bike and brand. I’m already excited for what we can achieve together, but winning a second World Cup with the new team would be a dream for 2025.” – Andi Kolb, MOB Downhill Athlete
“I’m excited and honored to welcome Kolb to our YT MOB Factory Race Team. His personality and professionalism align perfectly with our brand and vision of becoming one of the top teams in the World Cup. Let’s bring it on!” – Jan-Philipp Becker, Director Global Brand Marketing, YT Industries
As a new, ten-round World Cup season approaches, these changes mark YT’s commitment to downhill. Testing is well underway, with the team taking to a training camp in South Africa to push performance and dial in their race-day settings, cementing the MOB as one to watch for the season ahead.
