Sam Pilgrim and Tom Cardy give the updated The Martian trail at Bikepark Wales a reopening worthy of the work that’s gone into it.
The Bikepark Wales Trail Crew have been hard at it once again with a full refresh of The Martian pro line that is now open to the public. Sam Pilgrim and Tom Cardy were at the opening to show how it’s done.
We’re stoked to announce that the pro line “The Martian” has undergone a complete refresh! The trail keeps its legendary challenging technical start, but now finishes with some sure to be iconic dirt jump style features!
The revamped section feeds directly into some huge berms, a long and low racer and finishing with a set of steep, floaty slightly hipped booters that you’ll want to session all day – perfect for throwing some shapes and style!
The revamp will breathe new life into The Martian, giving it the signature feel that we know riders will absolutely love. We’re stoked to see it become a new favourite among you senders, pros, and all those looking for a challenge, we’re sure there’ll be some serious Instagram gold from this one!
For those who’ve been riding The Martian for years, don’t worry – it still kicks off in the same spot, keeping its classic techy start. The refreshed trail links Vanta to the bottom half of the hill, meaning you can link the longest proline at the park with some serious features top to bottom. Keep your eyes peeled for some A470 related news later this summer that will help link you directly from A470 into the Martian too.
Our trail crew have been absolutely smashing it, working hard to make sure we’re “making hay whilst the sun shines”, so keep your eyes peeled for even more exciting updates coming your way soon.
The new and improved Martian will be open this Thursday! Get ready to hit the fresh dirt for a proper tech and sendy challenge.
We had Sam Pilgrim and Tom Cardy at the park earlier this week to get it warmed up for everyone else, head to their YouTube Channels to check out what they thought.
See you on the trails.
