Latest in a long line of their light, stashable tools, Granite Design has released two new tyre plug kits in the form of the diminutive Suture and Suture Aero.
If you’re on the hunt for some light weight bike packing kit or just don’t like heavy tools, then the newest Granite Design offerings, the Suture and Suture Aero should be of interest.

Granite Design Suture

Weighing in at a featherweight 24g, the Granite Design Suture is a handy addition to your pack or your bike. Featuring a CNC alloy body and integrated tyre plug fork, it’s a neat way of getting yourself out of trouble should you poke a hole in your tyre. The kit comes with ten strips, evenly split between 1.5mm and 3.5mm strips, as well as a valve core removal tool.
Suture Aero

- Built-in CO2 inflator works with Presta valve.
- Conveniently stored in the inflator, the fork ensures smooth tire plug application.
- Presta valve core remover at the end of the tool housing

Much like it’s stablemate above, the Suture Aero takes the CNC machined plug kit complete with valve core remover and adds a built-in CO2 inflator to get you back rolling quicker. The tyre plug fork isn’t integrated in order for the inflator valve to work, but it’s hardly a massive inconvenience.
