New Chapter for Bike Corris as Local MTB Coach Rikki Barratt Takes the Helm.
After nearly a decade of guiding riders through the legendary Dyfi Forest, Dave Evans is handing over the reins of Bike Corris to fellow local resident Rikki Barratt.
Founded by Dave, Bike Corris became a cornerstone of the Mid Wales MTB scene, offering guided rides, youth development, and unique cabin-based accommodation for adventurous families and riders. Under Dave’s stewardship, Bike Corris has built a reputation for community-focused experiences rooted in respect for the trails, the land, and the people who ride them.
“I’m incredibly proud of what Bike Corris has become,” said Dave Evans. “It’s always been about more than just riding bikes—it has delivered my vision of riding creating connection: to place, people and culture. I’m genuinely excited to see Rikki take it forward. He shares those same values, and I know he’ll grow it in a way that stays true to the values we share.”
Rikki Barratt, a skilled MTB coach with a background in outdoor education, brings fresh energy to the brand while honouring its roots. “The legacy Dave has built with Bike Corris needs to continue in the Dyfi Valley, developing riders for life, building with the local riding community and share the best riding in Wales.“
The transition marks an exciting new chapter for the Dyfi riding community, as Rikki builds on the Bike Corris legacy to create new opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities.

Cllr. Jeremy Paige the Mayor of Machynlleth has seen the effect on his town:
“Bike Corris, a mountain biking business at the heart of Corris, plays a significant and growing role in the economic, social, and cultural life of the Dyfi Area. Offering guiding and coaching for locals and visitors alike, Bike Corris encourages people not just to holiday in the area, but to make it their home.”
He added “When I walk around Machynlleth, I see this impact with riders in our cafes and hotels, and most importantly – local kids having fun on their bikes. I wish Rikki all the best for the future, and am excited to see his next steps.”
Dave and Rikki will be working together during the handover period to ensure continuity for existing customers and a smooth transition for partners and collaborators.
