Limitlass Festival 2025 brought together 120 women from across the globe to celebrate mountain biking in a weekend packed with community, skill-building, and unforgettable memories. With attendees travelling from all over the UK, as well as international participants from Sweden, Germany, Canada, and the USA, the event was sold out and marked the fourth successful year of the festival. Notably, one participant, Katie Spain, travelled all the way from Georgia in the USA just for the weekend!

“Limitlass 2025 was the best one yet. We’ve built an incredible team of coaches, guides, and brand partners, many of whom we’ve been working with for years. It was amazing to hear so many stories from attendees about meeting new people at previous festivals, staying in touch, and becoming riding buddies. That’s exactly what we’re all about – creating lasting connections and building a supportive community.” said Fiona Finnie, Limitlass Co-founder

The festival kicked off on Friday evening, with attendees arriving, registering, and setting up camp before enjoying a pizza buffet and film night. The highlight of the night was a screening of MBUK’s film featuring Scottish rider and friend of the event, Louise Ferguson, and her history-making run at Red Bull Hardline in Wales. We also watched a number of other inspiring films, making for an energising start to the weekend.

Saturday began with early risers taking part in a wild swim and sauna session or enjoying a flowy yoga class to prepare for the day’s activities. After the legendary dance warm-up, riders participated in skills coaching sessions or workshops covering everything from mindset psychology and mobility for mountain bikers to learning how to maintain and repair their bike’s chain and drivetrain. Hope Women’s manual trainer competition was a popular activity, with many participants keen to challenge themselves and improve their manualing skills.

Limitlass, what an event! Katie, Fiona and Anna really do know how to put on a fun, inclusive, and supportive event for women who want to ride bikes. We (Hope WMN) love being a part of the festival, watching the riders grow in confidence and having a great time on bikes! A recipe for a great weekend!said Claire Bennett, Sales & Events Coordinator at Hope Women

Saturday evening featured a panel discussion covering themes such as adventure travel, racing, resilience, and inclusion. A guest panel included double British Cross Country Champion Isla Short, who shared insights on her journey in the sport. The thought-provoking discussion was followed by a high-energy evening of dancing to the incredible band Atomic.

Sunday morning followed suit with more wellness activities like wild swims, yoga, and a fun warm-up. The main activity of the day was the guided rides, where all 120 riders set off to ride some of the best mountain biking trails in Scotland, with Dunkeld’s breathtaking landscape in full display. The sea of purple Limitlass x Endura jerseys made for a striking sight against the backdrop of blooming purple heather.

The Limitlass Festival has once again blown me away. The atmosphere was electric as our lasses lifted each other higher, stepped out of their comfort zones, and formed friendships that will last a lifetime. Our sponsors and team go above and beyond and, along with every single participant, they’re what make the event truly magical.said Katie May, Co-founder of Limitlass

As always, the festival ended with a raffle, featuring amazing prizes donated by generous sponsors. Proceeds from the raffle will support the Tayside Trail Association and the Limitlass Legacy fund, which aims to help women pursue mountain bike qualifications. The grand prize – a mountain biking holiday in Morocco – was won by Rachael Parkinson, who will embark on an all-female adventure with Limitlass and H+I Adventures in the Atlas Mountains next April.

I just want to say a huge thank you for organising such a fantastic festival! It exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt in great company and at ease, knowing I could push myself in a safe and supportive environment. The coaches were incredible, the atmosphere was empowering, and the stoke was contagious! I’m absolutely blown away to have won the trip to Morocco – it will be an amazing experience. Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be back at Limitlass!said Rachael Parkinson

Endura, the festival’s headline partner, also awarded five spot prizes over the weekend – chosen by the coaches and guides – including the Aye Ye Can and Limitlass Spirit awards. Other sponsors in attendance included Hope Women, Vittoria, Deuter, Madison, Saracen, Shimano, Silverfish, 100 Percent, Fortan, Unbound Collective, Bark & Ride, and Trail Bloom.

Limitlass brings together everything that’s great about mountain biking: the buzz of riding, the support of a strong community, and the confidence to push your limits. Seeing so many women out on the trails, sharing the stoke, and inspiring each other is exactly why we’re proud to be part of it.said James Rix, Sports Marketing Manager at Endura.
