Orbea Launch Their New Wild LT With a Custom Avinox Tune.

Taking all the learnings from the new Rallon, both in downhill and enduro, and pairing it with a custom-tuned Avinox motor brings Orbea closer than ever to their perfect ebike.

The Basque brand does away with the arms race in the search for the best performing ebike. The new Wild LT has a custom Avinox tune that gives 750w peak power but earlier for a more natural ride feel. This blended with the new Rallon experience is the zenith of their ebike performance offering.

Whilst many brands have chosen Avinox as their motor for the 1300w peak power and 120Nm torque, Orbea have gone down a slightly different route with their selection. To get the performance they wanted from their new full power ebike, they needed to lower the pivot position.

20% lower anti-squat for increased traction both on climbs and descents, plus less pedal kick was the aim and the Avinox motor allowed the kinematic changed offered by the lower pivot position. This also offers higher leverage as well as lower anti-rise.

170mm travel features as both ends of the bike, with the stock bike running as a full 29″ bike, although the flip chip allows for Mullet wheels and geometry adjustment too. The headset is also now reach and angle adjustable thanks to the ZS56 headset. Orbea have also done away with headset routing. The link is now carbon too.

The carbon frame is lighter than the outgoing model, features in-moulded cable routing, a minimum 210mm dropper and top spec bikes get a ‘smart’ dropper post that’s main battery powered. Overall system weight is under 21kg for the M-Ltd models.

Four stock carbon models and three alloy models will be available, with MyO customisation also available on certain models. The Wild LT M-Ltd tops the range at £11,879.00 and the Wild LT H20 kicking things off at £4,899.00.

Yes, you can use the Avinox app to access Super Boost and the full 1300w power but Orbea are adamant that this leaves the bike feeling sluggish to apply the power. Orbea state that their tune also lowers the amount of overrun offered, but this can also be adjusted via the app.

Geometry

The Orbea Wild LT is available in S, M, L and XL sizes.

Reach on the M in 29″ and Low position is 455mm with a seat tube of 405mm. Head angle is 63.34 degrees with a seat tube angle of 77.5 degrees. Chainstays are 448mm across the sizes with a wheelbase on the M of 1257mm.
